SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Google is donating intimately $7 billion to let San Francisco to go on providing liberal jalopy and other transfer services to low-income metropolis kids.
City officials proclaimed the contribution on Thursday and said it wish breed an extra deuce years of the free people passage programme. The programme is currently funded by a regional transit office through with June 2014.
The donation comes as Google and Kontol other applied science companies look criticism o'er secret buses they function to weft up employees in San Francisco. Technology workers are too accused of drive up rents and gentrifying the metropolis.
San Francisco City manager Ed Lee aforementioned the contribution shows Google is a truthful cooperator in addressing San Francisco's affordability crisis for lower berth and middle-income families.
