Weddings looked different in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't mean they were any less spectacular or heartfelt.
Junebug Weddings has unveiled the 50 winners of its annual contest celebrating the year's best wedding photography in the world. While most people are eager to leave 2020 behind, the photos are proof that sometimes love does conquer all.
For the contest's thirteenth year, the Junebug team was assisted by four world-renowned wedding photographers — Joel & Justyna, Phan Tien, and Avonne Photography — when judging the entries.
The stunning images that were chosen out of nearly 6,000 submissions feature newlyweds standing under starry skies, overlooking mountain ranges, and floating in the Mediterranean Sea. However, the photos that truly capture the realities of 2020 are the pictures that show wedding guests — and even one bride — wearing protective face masks.
